Day Boat Cruising
on the Brecon &
Monmouthshire Canal. |
|
| A Day Out
Relax and enjoy a day boat hire out on the historic Brecon and Monmouthshire
canal. This ancient waterway was commenced at the end of the eighteenth
century as a vital link for the industrial development of the area
when George III was on the throne, before Napoleon had any thoughts
about Moscow and General Custer was still in nappies. Left by the
industry it once served, it now makes an ideal venue for friends and
family to have a day out, pic-nic, nature ramble, family celebration
or just to enjoy the peaceful relaxation of truly beautiful surroundings.
Bouyancy aids and instruction are included so all the family can join
in, including pets. All day boats are bookable in advance.

The “Red Dragon”
is an Edwardian style open day boat with full length canopy,
and reputed to be the oldest boat on the canal. She carries
parties of up to 12 and is ideal for just that- a partyboat. |

Tiller steered in the traditional manner, she is easy to handle
with a novice crew. As with all the boats, instruction is given
at the beginning of the day out cruise and no-one need
fear their ability to handle the craft. “Red Robin” caters for
parties of up to twelve. Well behaved pets are welcome! |

 |
The "Red Rooster"
is a 26' narrowboat with three-quarter cabin with large picture

the weather on inclement days.
