Your Questions Answered
What if we have to cancel our holiday?
Cancellation Protection Plan is added to your initial payment which will cover you if you have to cancel or curtail your holiday in certain circumstances. Details of the Cancellation Protection Plan and Personal Holiday Insurance are available on request and will be forwarded with any booking. Click here for details
Are pets allowed?
Yes pets are most welcome provided they are kept well under control. This really is a holiday the whole family can enjoy together. We charge for each pet and obviously request that the boat is returned in a clean and tidy condition. We reserve the right to refuse pets or charge for any additional cleaning or repairs required as a result of pets being on board during your holiday. Click here for details
What about our car?
There is a gated car park within the grounds of the hire base. However, we cannot accept responsibility for loss or damage to hirer’s vehicles.
Can we take extra passengers?
Several boats have two high-level bunks. We suggest that these are used only for children. Click here for details
What about provisions?
Throughout your holiday you will have no problem doing your shopping either in the villages or the little canal side shops.
What do we bring?
As you can see from the inventory the boats are fully equipped for comfort, safety and enjoyment. However, the inventory is only typical and many more items haven’t been listed. A phone call will put your mind at rest should you have any queries. All you need to bring is your personal clothing and toilet requisites. It is a good idea to bring waterproofs and warm clothing and, at the beginning and end of the season, you may want to bring wellington boots.
Also, don’t forget to bring flat non-slip shoes for when you are on the boat.
Damage Waiver
An Accidental Damage Waiver is a non refundable payment. This avoids the the requirement for a damage deposit payment of £500 to cover the insurance excess pending any claims. It covers you, in full, for any accidental damage or losses. It does not cover damage or loss by negligence on the part of the hirer, or the return of the boat in an unclean condition, which will incur an extra payment. Click here for details
